Skaper 2.0 Launch: Runway Gen-4 & Kling AI Integration

Introducing a major update with new Runway Gen-4 Image/Video nodes, Kling AI video generation, and more.

Skaper 2.0 is officially here. This update isn't just a feature addition — it's a major release that redesigns the entire AI video production workflow. Built on months of beta testing and user feedback, here are the most important changes in this version.

Runway Gen-4 Node Integration

Runway Gen-4 is currently one of the highest-quality models in text-to-video. Skaper 2.0 provides separate Runway Gen-4 Image and Gen-4 Video nodes, so you can handle everything from still image generation to video production on a single canvas. The Gen-4 Video node accepts reference images as input, generating natural motion while preserving character and background consistency. It's especially useful for content featuring recurring characters — portrait shoots, product ads, music videos, and more.

Kling AI Video Generation

Kling AI, developed by Kuaishou, excels at long-form video and precise camera motion control. Skaper supports three Kling tiers: Standard, Pro, and Master. Standard is great for quick previews; Master is ideal for final output. The Kling node offers fine-grained control over camera direction (pan, tilt, zoom, rotation), making it especially powerful for scenes that require cinematic camerawork.

Node Editor UI Improvements

In 2.0, the node editor received a complete performance and usability overhaul. Drag responsiveness when connecting nodes is significantly improved, and complex workflows with 50+ nodes run smoothly without frame drops. We've also added the ability to group nodes and save them as reusable subgraphs — save your frequently-used pipelines as templates to instantly reuse them in future projects.

Revised Credit Structure

Credit costs per engine have been recalibrated to better reflect actual API pricing. Fast tier (Kling Standard, Hailuo, etc.) is 10 credits; Standard tier (Runway, Luma Flash, etc.) is 18 credits; Premium tier (Veo 3, Luma Ray2, etc.) is 50 credits. At roughly ₩50 per credit, this represents an average 15% reduction from before. Bulk-purchase discounts also apply.

What's Next on the Roadmap

Updates continue after 2.0. Upcoming milestones include: ① a Timeline node for video editing, ② multilingual expansion of the TTS node, and ③ team workspace features. The much-requested 'node execution history' feature — highlighted by beta feedback — is also coming soon. Thank you to every creator using Skaper.
