Step-by-step guide for first-time Skaper users.

If AI video production is new to you, it can feel overwhelming to know where to start. This guide walks you through every step — from creating your Skaper account to opening the node editor and generating your first video. No prior expertise needed; you can have your first result in under 10 minutes.

Step 1: Sign Up and Check Credits

Go to skaper.ai and sign up with Google or email. New accounts receive 100 free credits. You can check your current credit balance in the top-right corner of the dashboard. Credits are consumed when generating video, images, or audio — text editing and node placement are always free.

Step 2: Open a New Project

Click 'New Project' from the dashboard. The node editor opens with a blank canvas in the center. The left panel lists available nodes organized by category. If it's your first time, select the 'Quick Start' template to auto-populate basic nodes.

Step 3: Add a Text-to-Video Node

Open the 'Video Generation' category in the left panel and drag your preferred engine onto the canvas. For beginners, Kling Standard or Hailuo are recommended — both generate at 10 credits and produce great results. Dropping a node on the canvas opens the settings panel on the right.

Step 4: Write Your Prompt

Describe the scene you want in the prompt field. Example: 'A young woman walking through a rainy street in Seoul, neon lights reflecting on wet pavement, cinematic shot, 4K quality'. The key to a good prompt is specifying subject, action, background, mood, and camera style — in that order. Korean prompts are supported but English prompts tend to yield more consistent results.

Step 5: Generate and Review

Once you're ready, click the 'Run' button at the top-right of the node. Generation typically takes 1–3 minutes. When complete, a preview thumbnail appears at the bottom of the node — click it to play the full video. If you're not satisfied, adjust the prompt and run again. The same prompt can produce different results each time, so try several iterations.

Step 6: Download and Share

If you're happy with the result, select 'Download' from the node menu to save it as an MP4. Choosing 'Save to Gallery' stores it in your Skaper gallery for easy access anytime. Making a piece public in the gallery may feature it on the Skaper Showcase page.
